Measuring Godly People with Ungodly Measurements

I found this little assay last night. I remember writing this, however,  I can not remember why I pen this. Sometimes it is like the commercial on T.V. You are speaking to a future self. It was good that I found this last night 8/8/2017. I needed to be encouraged at this time.

God fearing people sometimes feel alone. Needless to say, the power of God surrounds us on all fronts. This does not mean the godly are untouchable.  Satan confronts any body, any time, any where. We may not have things go perfect for us but we will not perish, if it is not the will God that we perish.

Psalms 1:06 reminds us that the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

The ungodly measures the godly by worldly standards. We should not become discouraged if we can’t see our way clearly.  1st Corinthians 13:12 states

The word in the English Bible

For we see now through a mirror obscurely, and then face to face; now I know in part, and then I shall fully know,  as also I was known;

We should not become discouraged if things are not working out according to our expectations. If these were ordinary times, I’d speak in ordinary terms. Once again in history, time is not on our side unless we grasp it. Tradition is not on our side unless we create it. God is not on our side unless we listen  and obey Him.

Our attitude toward the world depends on what we ourselves become. If we are honest with ourselves, we won’t always anticipate deceit in others. We will most likely move trustfully, if we have a generous nature. If we are inclined to be fair, we won’t feel that we are being cheated. Looking at the people around us is like looking into the mirror. You see a reflection of yourself in others. Even a child is known by his doings, Proverbs 20:11

The word in the English Bible

Even children are known by the way they act, whether their conduct is pure and upright. Proverbs 20:11

If we are true to ourselves, we must know, measuring godly people by ungodly measures will fail.
