Who is lying?

Who is lying?

Have you ever been in a fight blind folded? In that type of fight the opposition has the upper hand. The one who has a lie executed upon them is sometimes defenseless. One cannot defend himself/herself because he/she does not know where the next strike is coming from. Some of the time, the origin of a lie comes from so called Christians. I was in church one Sunday and the minister said Mahatma  Gandhi said he had read about Jesus Christ. He liked Jesus’s words. There would be more Christians  if it were not for people who called themselves Christians. Of course, I am paraphrasing. It does not matter to me if the lie comes from mother, father, sister, brother, deacon, preacher or Indian chief. A lie is just that. As grandpa once said: An “acculturated” lie is a lie just the same.
According to the word, If your brother/sister sin (again I am paraphrasing). Go and tell him/her –his/her fault, between you and him alone. Try and see what the real truth is. Do not stand in a corner and lie with others on the person. It may not be a lie just a misunderstanding. Go directly to the individual and find out the truth. Do not ruin the person’s reputation. That is not the behavior of a real Christian. But if he/she does not listen, take one or two others along with you. In that way the person knows what is being said and not have to guess.
The woman with the alabaster box was not considered a good woman by the religious people of that day. They even accuse Jesus of not being who he was by allowing her to touch him and wash his feet.
Christians or so call Christians behave as though they think sin is something they can catch. If it is catching someone needs to tell Jesus. It is what is in your mind and heart. Sometimes I wear a chain with the Mosaic Laws around my neck. I have been accused of legalism. Those hurling the accusations do not know Jesus’ words. He did not come to do away with the law but to fulfill the law. He came to write these laws upon our hearts. People often will say it must be true because so and so told me and you know so and so would not lie. Ask so and so and He/she will say I said so because so and so told me and I have always trusted so and so to tell me the truth. Sometimes it is never ending. I have seen on television people rearrange conversations to where it appears one is having a conversation he/she never had.
If you are accused wrongfully, somehow puncture a whole in that blind folder and fight back! See the truth for the truth. If you don’t, you are speaking blindfolded.
