our regular schedule.

Thanks for your patience.

Reread some of the fairytales you have read before.  The story I worked on had so many different interesting  twist in developing, I couldn’t make up my mine how to develop  the story.  Reread some of the old stories.  See you next week!!!

Part 3: The Beavers

Using her tail to navigate, Betty made it over to Bill. Betty ask: Honey, is anything wrong?  Bill answered sadly: I didn’t want the other Beavers to think I was a wimp.  I have been stuck in this thicket patch since morning.  I thought at first I could get out of this situation by myself. Everyone else was so busy no one noticed me immediately. The kids kept coming over to pile more and more brush and sticks on my tail. I couldn’t get lose. I tried biting myself out. That didn’t work. My head was too far away from the briar thicket.

I’ve been here before you saw me early this morning. In fact, I was the first Beaver to start work on the dam. I was too embarrassed to ask for help. Betty said: oh honey, you should have ask for help. The other Beavers wouldn’t have mind.  All the girls thought you were a lazy Beaver. I’ll go get you help.

While Betty was gone for help Bill thought “sure they did. I knew Betty would eventually come over. I was hoping the two of us could get me out without the knowledge of anyone else”.

However, to Bill’s discomfort, all the Beavers came over to help. One old Beaver noticed Bill was not in a briar patch. He was caught in some bob wire thrown in the water by a careless boater.  A human, being carelessly and wastefully had thrown wire in the water. That is why we need laws to protect us. Soon all of the other Beavers helped free him. We need a Beaver like “Yogi Bear” on our side. Bill had help from even the little Beavers.

Betty said: Ladies, you were wrong about my man! He is a smart, cleaver Beaver! I was always on his side. It is better to be on the right side of wrong than to be on the wrong side of right. The children yelled, hip, hip hooray! Hip, hip hooray!

Part 2: The Beavers

Another Beaver added: if he continue to sit there, he might starve himself to death. Then she will be free. Down the river, around the bend, there is a widow Beaver with nine little Beavers. The entire family witnessed the mother get trapped by a trapper. I’m told he was  horror-stricken. He would be an excellent catch for her. I’ve been told he is one of the greatest carpenters in the world. Other animals depend on him, his colony as well as ours to make habitats for them. With our help, he provides food for his colony as well as other animals.  They all agreed he would be a perfect catch for her. Since we don’t hibernate, we need to provide food for our colony as well as other vegetarian animals when the snow comes.

The nerve of her husband! Just watching us work our flat tails off preparing for winter. He won’t even use his tail like the rest of us as a rudder for swimming. Since he is not doing any work,  he doesn’t need to use it as a prop  to help him stand up. I bet he wish he had used it during the cold winter months as a storehouse of fat when the snow comes.  Poor Betty, look at her and the children work. Look, look at the children slapping their little tails in the water playing while they are working. Someone needs to tell her to stop them. A Beaver slapping its’  tails on the surface of water can also mean there is danger nearby. We would not want to confuse the workers.

Enough is enough shouted one old mother.  I will take it on myself to have a talk with Betty. All of this gossip is getting out of control. Betty, Sweetheart, come here! Is your husband okay? Check on him! Something is wrong.

The Beavers

Mother Beaver was extremely busy getting her house ready for winter. She told Daddy this is more than a family project. This is a community project. All of the Beavers in their colony  were preparing for winter. Most father Beavers don’t have to be told to do their part of wintering their own domain, For the most part, readying the home and common community habitat  just comes natural.

Beaver’s  impoundments or homes are built under water to keep away predators such as coyotes, wolves, bears and to provide easy access to food during winter. Beavers are vegetarian. Being a vegetarian makes it hard to find food during cold months.  That is why Mother was so upset with father. Father knew winter was on its way. Yet, he was as nonchalant as a bug on a rug. Mother Beaver was extremely troubled. Father Beaver was completely out of character.

Other fathers were cutting down timbers and trees for dams and canals, or helping to  build a lodge for the community. Mother told her children: your father’s great engineering skills are just going to waste. We try not to get caught up in anger  because humans use our castoreum from our bodies to make perfume for women. But your father is making me sick.  Humans  have very little appreciation  for the work we do purifying the water for all species who make use of the lakes and streams. We need  a mascot like Yogi the Bear. Yogi the Bear has made humans aware of the forest. We need a mascot to encourage humans to help take care of our oceans, rivers and lakes.

None of the the other fathers complained. They had not noticed that Father Bill was not doing his  fair share of the work. One of the Mother Beavers did notice. She mentioned her observation to one of the other mothers. They all begin to gossip. It was gossiped among the lady Beavers that Betty had married a lazy Beaver.  No one could truthfully accused him of being ” A busy Beaver”.  All of the women chuckled behind Betty’s back. One Mother Beaver said: Her Mother should have warned her. We mate for life. I guess she is just stuck with him.

When Ungodly Measures are Used

When ungodly measures are used to measure godly people, great mistakes are usually made.  In some cases the ungodly is not versed in scripture. In other cases the trouble remains with the ungodly knowing the scripture too well. They Know it without doing it.

Because of their knowledge, the ungodly make the mistake of feeling superior. They Feel superior intellectually, spiritually and financially.  What a big surprise for them when  they discover  they are  wrong.

Somehow the Sadducean and the Pharisees syndrome  slips in.  The word  teaches we are not to treat others as they treat  us but treat others the way  you wish to be treated.

Can I Be A Winner?

From time to time, we declare ourselves the winner.  Everybody loves a winner. However, if you win all the time it makes the game less interesting.  No one wants to go see the outcome of a game that is fixed regardless of the reason. If the game is fixed, some one is going to be angry.  When it is not fixed and you are wining on your own merit, in a case like that, the loser will be unjustified in their anger.   Tiger Woods said it best “A game is more interesting when one person does not win all of  the time”.  My brother-in-law,  Hycall Brooks Jr. (who is now deceased) was the champion checker player in Macon County, Alabama. He was so good that other checker players were afraid to play him. They were good players, but he was extremely good.  Everyone knew when he took his chair, what the outcome was going to be. Now, perhaps others have a chance. There may have been others who could have beat him, but fear stopped them.

No one but Jesus is perfect. That is why one might hear a christian say  “I am striving to be like Christ”.  My church sells T-shirts that say something to the affect  “No one is perfect just forgiven”

God sent his son because no human could step up to the challenge. Because he Lives, I can face tomorrow. Because he Lives, all fear is gone. I do not know what’s in the future. But I know who holds the future and I can face uncertain days because he Lives.

We may play games. We may be good at what we do. Everyone should know there is a master player who can beat each and every human on earth.  We can call on Our Father who art in heaven. We as gentiles are adopted children.  Christ was sent to this earth to save the Jews. Some of the Jews rejected him.  We (all gentiles) were adopted into his family. We have the same rights and privileges as any family member.

I shared with my prayer sisters a story I read in Our Daily Bread, about a clergyman prior to the Civil War witnessing a lynching. He was not perfect but he knew what he saw was wrong. Sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zone and acknowledge what is right and not be with others who declare themselves the winner. Only those who follow CHRIST ARE  WINNERS.

See you next week

One Little, Two Little, Three Little Wrens

One day mother wren left the nest to go find  worms for the  children’s evening meal. While mother was gone, the first little wren told the others:  I believe I can fly.  He stood up and started to shake his bald little hind side.  The second little wren stood up with all the others and said:  Oh no, you can’t! The third little wren said:  All of you sit down. Mother will be very disappointed to find all of her little  birds trying to fly.

Just then an eagle flew very close to their nest. She too was looking for food for her child.  The oldest of mother wren’s children  spoke common sense to numbers one and two.  They were  called one and two but actually,  they were not born in that order. Number three told them,  It is not a good idea to rattle the feathers of an eagle.  The first Little Wren declared:  That was close!  The second Little wren agreed and said: I want my mom! The Third Little Wren said: you two need to remain quiet  while the eagle is nearby.  They watched as the mother  eagle discovered her dinner  on the shore  in  the distance.

Mother Wren returned with three fat worms for her and the Children. The second little wren began to shout out all of The dirty laundry of the first little wren’s day.  The first little wren asserted you too and some of  the others did the same thing.  The third little wren remained quiet.  Mother Wren was disappointed with most of her children. She asked herself: have I not taught them better? I hurried home because I saw mother eagle near my nest.  I instantly knew she was flying much, much too close to my nest.

The first little wren said I tried to get the attention of Mother  Blue Birds, but she paid us no attention. The second little wren said we tried to get the attention of Mother  Red Bird , but she paid us no attention either. They all seem like angry birds. Why are the Birds so angry?

Mother wren sat in the nest and told this story. It maybe man’s fault. Man created automation.  Some of the people became anxious and depressed because of their new found knowledge. They didn’t know what made them anxious and on edge. They went to see their doctors. Their doctors didn’t know either. However, the doctors prescribed medicine to make the people feel better.  The humans started taking the medicine and some of them became addictive.  At that juncture,  some of them overdosed. Some went to the human’s hospitals and others were sent to jail.  Still, others died from their addiction that was called an overdose. The humans tried to get rid of the medicines by flushing them down their toilets.  The toilet water ran to  under ground streams. The underground streams ran to the river. The rivers ran to the lakes. The lakes ran to the oceans.  All of the Lady Blue Birds and the Lady Red Birds dank the Water from The riversides, Lakes and oceans. The water the humans flushed down their toilets caused the birds to be angry, anxious and depressed.

We all have a responsibility to mother nature. If each one of us do our part as we have done in centuries past, we will all share this earth peacefully. Angry Birds will just be a game that humans play.  We may be small, but we are needed to rid the earth of an over population of spiders and other small annoying insects.  We all have a part.

The Little Wrens understood why they received  no help from Mother Blue Bird and Mother  Red Bird. The older birds  drank the water and  passed it on to their children.  Each generation must pass on a good legacy to the next. We all must do our part.

The End

There is no update on the house  flood  at this time.

What A Difference A Day Makes

A lady by the name Of Diah Washington sang a songs called “What A Difference A Day Makes”.  It only takes 24 little hours. Where there were sunshine and flowers, now there is rain. What a difference a day makes and that difference is You.

Perhaps, I’m that difference. I left home Monday to go shopping with out of town company. When we returned, my home was flooded. We were not gone long.  In just a flicker  of a moment, my spirit changed from joy to bewilderment. Why was there water in my basement? Why were my floors and my rugs ruin?

?Why was the furniture downstairs ruined? Less than 24 Little hours, my countenance had gone from pleasant to a very diffinite unpleasantness.  My circumstance changed in a flicker Of  a moment.

However, I must give kudos to the ladies I pray with at 6:00 a.m. Monday- Friday.  I remanied calm as I dialed 911.  The reason I dial 911 my ADT did not go off when I opened the  door.

I thought I had caught a burglary in  progress in my house because there was a loud sound downstairs. When the police and The firemen  entrered the house,  we discovered what made the loud sound.  The drop ceilling was  falling down .  A  pipe  upstairs had burst.

Now, let me get to the crazy part. I called my Insurance Company.  I told them everything that happened.  They said don’t worry, Mrs. Ware, we will take care of you. That was  no more than I expected.

I waited and waited. No one came. A few days later, I called back. They wanted to know if I called anyone to clean up the mess. I quickly apologize. I realized while I was waiting to hear from them, they were waiting to hear from me.

When the company did come to clean up the mess, the Insurance adjuster was there. Wongly, I   assume everyone was on one accord.  We were not!
